1. We know you’ve had a very busy schedule of gigs and travel. What was one of the highlight gigs of this year so far?
MOGA festival in Morocco had such a great crowd- energetic people that are truly there to dance. As an Egyptian, regional discoveries are always extra special.
Can you jigit? in New York in the summer was also a highlight – curating things with heart always shows – and having live acts in addition to djs can add a lot of depth to a party experience.
And lastly my first time in Argentina was memorable on many fronts.
2. How do you maintain balance while being on the road so often?
The more I travel, the more I’m interested in regulating & understanding myself on a deeper level –
From big picture things like learning when to say no to certain opportunities, to understanding & applying nervous system regulation techniques like EFT, all the way to small & simple habits like working out regularly when I’m in Cairo.
Everything contributes.
3. Any advice to new artists // dj’s coming up?
Do things for the process not just the result.
Indulge in the layers of what you love in as many ways as possible.
Real success is not an objective thing to reach, it’s an internal sense of fulfillment.

4. Who are 3 artists to look out for whose music you are playing?
There’s always Detroit & Chicago in my bag
- Boo Williams and deeper shades of Blake Baxter & octave one.
5. What can we expect from your set Saturday?
Music that feels personal.
