Michael Malcolm was raised in Waterloo, Ontario and found music to come naturally from a young age. Learning how to play piano by ear became the gateway towards the start of a production career at the age of 14. As he grew older, Michael used music to escape from some of the harsher realities of life, including losing his father at a young age.
That passing caused Michael to shift his focus towards his true passion.
He sourced his primary inspiration from Avicii, the late Swedish Producer, as an example of true musical talent shining through on a global stage from humble beginnings.
His shift in focus led to a successful four years at university, culminating in becoming the President of Western’s Guitar Club and winning Western’s got Talent in the process.
Since then, Michaels spent countless hours honing in on his craft, trying to find his place in the music industry. Using further inspirations such as Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Calvin Harris, and Loud Luxury, Michael’s found his element in sharing his life stories through the various sub-genres of dance music.
Now, the Toronto-based Producer/DJ is excited to launch a new echelon of music in the realm of dance – starting with the release of “Giving Up” on August 27, 2021. Look for exciting collaborations to follow as Michael continues to grow his name within the industry.
