CRBN RADIO – EPISODE 021

Mixed By Distant Matter

With his sound described as a cross of the electronic synths of Flume, Daft Punk-style songwriting, pop production feel of Coldplay and the vibe of Green Day, Distant Matter is not your typical electronic artist.

Born Alex Swartz-Seligman, the 20-year-old Toronto-based artist is a multi-instrumental producer trained in piano, guitar, drums, bass, harmonica, and talk-box. He began producing music at age 17, and recently released his first single “Chrome” (feat. Lily) late last year.

What separates Distant Matter from other electronic artists is that he’s not a typical DJ. He’s a one-man electronic band that plays every instrument on stage for an exhilarating live performance, accompanied by striking visuals inspired by galactic space, designed to illustrate the auditory experience.

For this week’s edition of CRBN Radio, Distant Matter provides a smooth, vocal-heavy mix of electronic pop & dance beats that should help keep things warm during these cold winter months.
