Prab K’s first DJ setup, a gift from wary parents when he was a teenager, consisted of a single Technics turntable and a 2 channel mixer. His first gigs were sweaty college parties, where he played everything from Depeche Mode to Lil Wayne.
Years later, Prab K focused on house music, and his production work landed him releases on labels including No.19 Music, Better on Foot, Sit Down Recordings, and Silence in Metropolis. He has been fortunate to work with & gain the support of some of his favorite artists, including: Agoria, Andrey Pushkarev, Andrew Grant (Circoloco), Nitin, Art Department, Atish, Chad Andrew, Daniel Bortz, Jon Charnis, Lomez, Martin Aquino, and more.
During the Covid lockdown, in his current home of California, Prab has spent time returning to his roots – turntables, a basic mixer, and a bunch of records. His mix for CRBN Radio is a combination of deep, minimal, and groovy house, and is a fruit of that lockdown labour.
