Hailing from Windsor, ON, Canada, Karla Houser honed her love of house, techno & new wave through listening to the radio stations of Windsor & Detroit, as well as through experiences on dancefloors. Initially starting her journey as a DJ on community radio 20 years ago, Houser has been collecting, mixing, and dancing ever since.
After living abroad for a decade and being involved in the electronic music communities in Amsterdam and Osaka, Houser has been in Toronto since 2012. Alongside her rep in the city as a compelling selector of deep house, quality techno and minimal funk, Houser is also an accomplished visual artist.
For this week’s edition of CRBN Radio, Karla Houser has provided a nearly 80-minute mix that she’s entitled ‘Enough 4 All of Us’. It starts off deep and stays deep throughout, but at the same time is steadily building and ends off with some funk.
